Notes of wine filled the air in the midst of fall.
On the afternoon of October 16th, Hörmann's wine tasting event for the real estate industry, "An engagement with Hörmann" in Zhengzhou, Henan, got off to a delicious start. Dr. Jochen Nippel, Managing Director of Hörmann Asia Pacific, Mr. Liu Xinchang, Deputy Managing Director of Hörmann China, and Mr. Zhou Yandong, Hörmann's Central China Regional Sales Director enjoyed the good wine with over 30 business partners from Zhengzhou. The attendees discussed many topics including closer cooperation, and jointly developing the Zhengzhou and Henan markets.

Dr. Jochen Nippel, Managing Director of Hörmann Asia Pacific opened the event with an introduction to the company. He touched on the development history and achievements of Hörmann, as well as plans and vision for future innovations.
Dr. Jochen Nippel talked of a series of innovative plans, including wicket door trip-free threshold, innovative door control system, SoftEdge technology, the PortaMatic door operator, and the BiSecur Smart Home System, etc. Corporate culture is the lifeblood of a company. Likewise, continuous innovation and breakthroughs are its soul. The company has won the trust of its business partners precisely because of its ability to constantly innovate. In turn, its partners have been able to develop markets in their respective fields and provide more users with a better experience.
Mr. Zhou Yandong, Hörmann Central China Regional Sales Director shared the classic cases of Hörmann's products in Chinese residences. He also presented applications of Hörmann's hinged doors, entrance doors, fire-rated doors, internal doors, and garage doors in commercial buildings and high-end residences.
As consumers keep trading up, developers will seize each opportunity to improve product quality amid the increasingly fierce competition in the Chinese market. Doors are one of the most important details in real estate projects as they create a first impression, especially for residential buildings.
The presentations by Hörmann's top executives were well received by the real estate developers. Mr. Li Rongxuan, Chairman of Henan Zhongneng Group, and Mr. Xiao Tongjie, Procurement Director of Zhengzhou Baoneng Group, shared their experience and thoughts on working with Hörmann and their expectations for the real estate market in Zhengzhou.
Wine tasting

An experienced sommelier explained the types of red wine and wine glasses, as well as how to open and pour a bottle of wine. The guests were absorbed in watching how the sommelier identified the red wine from the color, smell, and taste. Wine tasting involves more than drinking wine, comprising the five steps of reviewing color, nose, smell, taste, and aftertaste. It is an art and demonstrates a person's morality and temperament.
In-depth discussion

"Hörmann has been in the Chinese market for over two decades as a German-owned enterprise and a world renowned door brand. What changes were made for Hörmann China and what are your future market plans? Do you have special expectations for Zhengzhou's real estate market?"
According to Mr. Liu Xinchang, Deputy Managing Director of Hörmann China, no changes were made by Hörmann in one sense, but a large change was made in another sense. No changes were made in terms of Hörmann's never-changing global standard of quality. Hörmann's quality and environmental protection standards are consistent around the world, whether in China or in its other business regions.
"A large change was made in terms of catering to the needs of our business partners in China. We localized our operations to a great extent to fit their requirements," said Mr. Liu. "Moving forward, Hörmann will maintain its two-pronged approach. In the first half of this year, we opened the retail showroom in Changchun, Jilin, which marks our strategic entry into the retail sector. This is by no means a competitive move. In fact, our expansion into retail will enable end users to further recognize Hörmann's quality and value, helping real estate enterprises to enhance their brand premium."
Mr. Liu explained,“We have worked hard with distributors in Zhengzhou for years, and established strong relationships with our partners like Mr. Song Wenbo, General Manager of Henan Huorun Trading Company. At the same time, we have also achieved results, such as the Zensun Shanshui Shangjing, Youwell Muse Park, Youwell Shanghejun, and Youwell Forest Florid projects. These give us the confidence and determination to develop further in Henan.”
Mr. Liu emphasized that the main point is not about the hopes that Hörmann has for the Zhengzhou market. Rather, it is about the hopes that real estate developers in Zhengzhou have for Hörmann. Developers understand the needs of end users better. As such, both sides must work together to create better products and services, and jointly develop Henan's real estate market.
Time flies when you are having fun. As the wine lingered on their palates, developer representatives in Zhengzhou had to see off the Hörmann team. Although a single wine tasting event is not the final solution to all problems, Hörmann continues to take every opportunity to communicate with and engage its partners.
