What should
you do when you have forgotten your keys and no one is home?
Ten years ago,
you would have broken the lock.
Fast forward
to five years ago and you would be calling the locksmith for help.
Today, you can
simply unlock the door effortlessly (using your fingerprint or code).
Technologies
are developing quickly and bringing convenience to our daily life and work. AI
and IoT technologies have been maturing in recent years, and smart homes are
becoming increasingly common in China.
Germany's
Hörmann has long been a hidden champion among door brands, thanks to
its efforts in making quality doors and researching smart technologies. At
FENESTRATION BAU China 2019 (FBC), Hörmann
will showcase its new Smart Module.
Smart Module
The smaller,
the smarter
Smart Module is Hörmann's
latest smart product. With a diameter less than 40 mm, it supports fingerprint
and card identification and can be used in security doors and apartment doors,
allowing doors to be opened at the touch of a finger.
· Touch
function: Wet/dry fingers can be identified
·
Identification speed < 1 sec., with an automated learning program
· Infrared
sensing within 60 cm
· Voice
prompts and alarm function for multiple errors
· Active mode
supported. Cards can be identified in sleep mode
Smart Module is designed
with stainless steel for durability. It is compatible with multiple door types,
and the compact form allows easy modification without damage to the door. The
controller is installed in the frame and separated from the fingerprint module,
which enhances security because the controller cannot be damaged or reset to
break into premises illegally.
In addition,
Hörmann's entire series of fire-rated doors, various industrial doors, doors
for public buildings, and interior doors will be featured.
